Use accurate categories and service areas, add real photos, keep hours current, and write a plain-language description of what you do. Respond to reviews—new signals and social proof both matter. Posts and Q&A add more chances to appear for related searches.
Content That Answers Real Questions
Think about what prospects ask before they call: pricing ranges, timelines, how you compare to alternatives, what a project actually looks like. Turn those into short articles or FAQ sections with honest answers. That content earns long-tail searches and gives other sites something worth linking to. Link related pages together (service to service, blog to service) so both people and crawlers see how your expertise fits together.
What to Avoid
- Keyword stuffing — Awkward repetition to chase rankings. It reads poorly and can hurt more than it helps.
- Fake or purchased reviews — Platforms remove them; your listing can take a hit.
- Neglecting speed — Technical basics aren't optional if you want visibility and conversions.
- Inconsistent NAP — One address on the site and another on a major directory undermines trust and local signals.

- Open your top three service pages on your phone: do they load quickly, read clearly, and state your area?
