Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about custom knives, repairs, classes, and design requests.

Do you make swords?

No, I do not. My shop and tooling are specifically optimized for crafting high-quality custom knives.

Do you repair knives?

I take this on a case-by-case basis. I have to look at the availability of resources, materials, and construction prior to taking on a repair project. Please reach out through the contact form with details and photos so I can assess your specific knife.

Will you make a knife from steel supplied by the customer?

Typically, no. Because of the heat treat process, it is extremely difficult to get good performance out of a blade without knowing the exact steel composition.

Do you do classes?

Yes! While I don't have a set schedule, I prefer to tailor the experience to the customer. We'll discuss your goals and skill level, and I will create a class specifically for you. Due to space and equipment, classes are strictly limited to two students.

Can you make a duplicate of someone else’s knife?

No, out of respect for other artists and their work, I do not make exact replicas. However, I am happy to take inspiration from a design you like and create a unique piece in a similar style.
